Murals
For over a decade local and international artists have been comissioned to adorn Scontrone with bright and colorful murals. Inventive and heartfelt, many of the murals tell human stories of immigration, families and values, while others reflect more modern and abstract themes. The ultimate goal is to tell the story of Scontrone and share it with passing visitors. For this, the town has coined the name "Un Pease Per Museo" or "A Town for Museums." This term illustrates two concepts: The first being that Scontrone is a host to museums such as The International Museum of Women in Art and the Geo-Paleontological Center. The second refers to how the town itself is a museum of delightful murals and sculptures.
